Drawing Dies Sketch
The art of process of wire drawing like the name applies is to draw a wire of bigger diameter through a hole with smaller diameter hereby reducing the diameter through plastic deformation while the volume remains the same. To do this a tool called drawing die is used.

T.C. Wire Drawing Dies
Range: We manufacture drawing dies for wires from size 0.15mm to 30.00mm.
Casings: Mild steel casings are used for wire drawing dies. These casings are hardened for long life and maximum output from die. Casings of EN 8 material are used for dies wherein the speed of machine is over 10m/sec.
Manufacturing Process : The profile of the die depends upon the grade of material to be drawn, speed of the machine, reduction on the die, lubrication used (powder or liquid), etc. With these information’s as extra knowledge we can manufacture die with a profile which can give its optimum level & guaranteed production.
Quality Assurance: Utmost care is taken while designing the profile of die as per standards and customer requirements. Mirror polish is done for better surface quality of output wire from die. The Automation used while the manufacturing of the size of the dies guarantees the tolerance in 0.001mm.
Carbides Nibs used for these dies are checked under HV 30 Scale wherein we provide 1750 hardness for wire drawing dies used at speed more than 20m/sec.These T.C.Nibs provide Extraordinary high wear resistance & corrosion resistance with limited toughness. For wire drawing dies used in speed less than 20m/sec are provided with 1600 hardness which are high wear resistant with medium toughness.

T.C. Drawing Special Profile Dies
Range: we manufacture tungsten carbide dies for special profiles. Upto 120. 00 mm are deisgned as per the requirement.
Pipe Drawing Round Dies
Range: we manufacture drawing dies for bright bars from 2. 00 mm to 150. 00mm.
Casing: en 24 casings are used to provide better shrinkage. Hardening of case is done upto 40rc for dies wherein the reduction is more and for dies to draw bar or pipe above 50. 00mm.
Manufacturing process: the life of the bar drawing and pipe drawing dies depends upon the shrink fitting of raw t. C. Pellets in steel casings. With our updated technology to ground the diameter of raw t. C. Pellet in taper form we press tight fit under hydraulic pressure of 10tons per stroke. Here the furnace maintains a temperature of 700 degree and the results ensures its complete strength while its usage. This avoids all types of breakage problems of carbide pellets before its optimum production capacity provided other parameters of drawing process are technically sound. A special coating of titanium aluminum nitrate is done in the i. D. Of the carbide pellet which gives corrosion strength and wears resistance while drawing of bars and tubes. Hardness varying from 1400 to 1200 on hv 30 scale is maintained varying from different sizes which results to give high toughness for non pickled material too.
quality assurance: apart from polishing as in wire drawing dies, in bar drawing dies special care is taken for its drawing angle and bearing length wherein our dies not only gives the desired size but also straightens the bars to a greater extent. Total ovality present in the hot rolled bars is removed while drawing thru our dies at any kind of reduction according to the machine capacity.
Dies with special profile are designed for high speed schumag and daneili bright bar drawing machines. Here starting from the mouth of the die, entry angles are shaped in such a way that at one stroke the push pointer passes the bar thru the die on the other side without any bending problems. The reduction zone of these dies is made long and wide for throughout and full lubrication. Tons of production is assured at speeds varying from 60m/sec to 120m/sec with perfect circularity of die.

Varun udyog introduces an efficient & economical way of checking the bore sizes of the drawing dies using measuring pins offered in steps of 5, 10 & 20 microns.
Varun udyog offers measuring pins in hardened steel and tungsten carbide. In both types of pins the material is cryoginally treated and hardened in oxygen free environment to maintain the dimension for a prolong life. As per the suitability of the diameter of pin sizes are either marked or written on the plastic containing of the pin for identification. The whole set of pins are supplied in wooden box for added safety and storage.

Manufacturing Process: Our Drawing dies for shape products are very economical as the production from it is unlimited. Due to its Special Carbide wherein the Hardness & Toughness is maintained at 1200HV 30 scale & 10 to 14% of cobalt is added in this grade, it gives the best performance within close tolerance and avoids all types of die line or material sticking problems.
Our entire team of Qualified Engineers design the profile according to drawings received from our clients and then the profile is designed on latest techno Wire Cut Machines. After this the ID of the pellets is polished. Sizes, Corners and other parameters are well checked on automatic visualizing vertical viewing machine wherein the printout is outlaid which gives the graph of the inner dimensions & diameter designed. We are also specialized for manufacturing of dies to draw shaped bars from Round to Shape with heavy reductions at one go with perfect corners and other parameters. (Subject to Technical Approvals).
